Lens of Youth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for all living beings with developmental disabilities. Many developmental disabilities are not immediately visible, and the behaviors associated with them are often misunderstood by those unfamiliar with the experiences of affected individuals.

Misunderstood Moments seeks to raise awareness, advocate for greater understanding, reduce stigma, and foster a more unified and inclusive community by sharing anonymous real-life stories. Each story, contributed by individuals with disabilities or those who have witnessed their experiences will be accompanied by a thoughtfully created artistic illustration, bringing their voices and perspectives to life. The content will be exhibited publicly and shared online, inspiring empathy, connection, and lasting change within the broader community.
